One of the main reasons why Japanese artists hate reposts is because of their copyright laws. Fanarts and doujin events are only allowed to exist because the companies/creators purposely turn a blind eye on it out of kindness and just treat it as a way to promote their series.
In turn, these creators cannot and do not make profit out of fanart; that involves merch and art commissions. Original prices of doujinshi are so cheap (200-1200 yen usually depending on the pages) because you're only paying for production costs. These are all passion projects.
If at any point let's say Horikoshi or Shueisha tells jpn fans to stop making fanart of MHA, jpn artists are very much prepared to delete all of their work from the internet to abide this. They get into this and post fanart knowing of the risks.
So when people take jpn fanarts and repost them on multiple sites, you are getting these artists in trouble and giving them so much burden because they have lost control of their work and are unable to remove their work from the internet as per the laws in their country.
TLDR; Please stop reposting fanart. And more so please stop reposting Japanese artists' fanarts because they can get into some serious legal trouble if they lose control of where their works get posted 🙇‍♀️
Reposting involves saving a picture and uploading it on your own site or accounts. Never do this.

Easiest way to support your favorite artists is though likes, retweets, and (polite) comments on their work. If you want to share their art, just RT or link the original tweet/post!
I've already muted this, but in conclusion, please just be respectful and don't repost fanwork unless you got explicit permission. I know this is the internet and reposts are inevitable, but if this thread can at least help lessen that then it has done its job. Thank you 🙇‍♀️
