Should I relocate from Nigeria? What do you advice?

Well this depends on where you are and what your goals and dreams are. This is not really a one answer fits all type of question, if you were my friend, brother or sister, I would look at some factors to advice you.
/1
I would however advice you to take a view of the world that blurs the lines between countries, the world is currently a global village. Technology has shrunk the world significantly and we can work for anywhere from anywhere.

/2
I will ask you to Relocate from Nigeria for the following reasons:

1. If you are frustrated about Nigeria and find it easy to see the things that are not working and it’s gradually getting you depressed. Relocate if you can; as no country is worth losing your sanity over.
/2
Blur the lines on the maps, find where you can stay alive and still contribute to the people you love.
/3
2. If you have a burning desire to relocate and you can afford to relocate legitimately with options like a Masters, an International Job offer or a Highly skilled persons migration offer. I will ask you to follow your heart. Desire is possibility seeking expression.
/3
3. If you are fresh from school, unemployed or not fully employed and have interests in furthering your career and seeing the world, it may be worthwhile to pursue a scholarship abroad, broaden your options, get another VISA if you can,
...as it removes the restrictions on your options for travel. The Nigerian Passport is currently limited, and relocating for a season would certainly give you more options.
4. If your spouse is aligned and ready to go, you have a perfect basis. /5
I believe nothing should separate two people that God has joined together.
5. If you are asking me, it’s either because there is a lot of talk in that direction from your friends about going, or deep down you feel a fear of missing out from not going. /6
My take is, if you have a desire to relocate, follow your heart. Don’t stay and regret, don’t go and regret. Decide where your heart is and where you believe God is leading you to, and follow it without looking back.

Don’t Relocate from Nigeria:

1. If you have work to do here that has high impact. At the end of the day, life is about service and impact. We are better off working on our appointed field than working on someone else’s field.
/8
Nigeria has many problems, poverty is huge here, if you sense you have a mission to add value to many lives, Nigeria is a good place to do so.
/9
2. If you are an entrepreneur and have crazy ideas and crazy optimism. Nigeria needs you badly, and you probably have an amazing chance here or anywhere else you go.
/10
Nigeria may not value you today, but since you are crazy optimistic and want to change the world, there is a lot you can do here.
3. If you are already doing big business in Nigeria, chances are if relocation every crossed your mind, it’s possible for your spouse and children./11
If you are not planning to relocate with them, my sincere advice is don’t do it. That wedge between you and your wife and children will not close easily. /12
