Drêam recently released a statement explaining the situation with his ex-girlfriend. In this statement, he admitted to her having BPD ( Borderline Personality Disorder ) and here’s why the SLANDER on her should be discarded and/or stopped for her and his SAFETY. ( 1 )
( as someone diagnosed with BPD at the age of 16 )
Obviously fans hate the fact she is very wishy washy about her opinion on him, tiktoks being made about how she admired him in a smaller streamers live, and a lot of people are mad because she did cheat on him, and apparently verbally abused him only to tell him she loves him (2)
This is textbook splitting, and she has little to no control over it, because its a subconscious response to the fear of negative emotions like loneliness or abandonment. And she doesn’t deserve threats or hate because of it. (3)
We can speculate that Dréæm was her Favourite Person, which in all honesty he might have been. To consider that, it would have meant that a lot of her mood depended on him, and where he would lack she would hyperfixate on those moments. It can create really intense emotions. (4)
Another thing with BPD is we believe we are terrible people usually amplified by our actions. We feel unworthy of love, or feel our loved ones will always leave. This can cause our attachment to waver from clingy to isolated. Pushing people away is a form of shielding (4)
In addition, during episodes, mood swings or meltdowns we are open to manipulation. Please! Please! People with BPD experience regular emotions like guilt, fear, anger, ecstasy, sadness times 1000000000000!! Dréæms ex was obviously manipulated (6)
She didn’t dox him, she didn’t mean to “ruin” him, she is suffering. She’s suffering from a disorder of which according to the DSM-5 there is so permanent cure ( hence why she wavered off medication because all it does is just suppress the symptoms ). (7)
There’s a 14% mortality rate for BPD, and with only 0.5% - 1.4% of the population being diagnosed with it, IT IS KILLER! When Dréæm says not to hate on her, or even send bad comments he MEANS it. For her and his safety, suicide is no joke and neither is BPD. (8)
Mental illness matters. Even when it can’t be romanticized.
