Every day I wish the people whining about cancel culture would realize their actual problem is with how capitalism disempowers the right to free speech inherently
You're mad because the sickest, truest, most terrible thing about speech in america is that money IS speech so if your money gets fucked with you think you've been silenced
And the REALLY fucked thing is that there are plenty of poor people who will never have true freedom of speech because they will never have the money to afford it
It's not the woke twitter mob or whatever that constrains your speech. It's capital.
(there's no "woke twitter mob" that's just what people complaining about cancel culture always say. But it's just capitalism that's got you mad.)
Anyway freedom of speech can't meaningfully exist in a society that consolidates the majority of its resources and power with a minority of the rich, that's it, that's the lesson.
