Muslim women have to stop asking Ulama for anything outside of just their scope, we can’t be asking people who only have rote knowledge in Arabic and fiqh about social issues, psychology, conflict resolution, etc. and then wonder why we get wrong answer with some Arabic thrown in
Ask them how to read Quran with taqweed and pray. Ask them about technical things, how to pray, do Hajj, etc; stop giving them more importance outside of their expertise and scope.

They are unethical as soon as they accept a question outside of their scope.
Islam is a way of life but that in no way means Ulama can answer abt every topic.

Would you trust & go to them to build you a house or deliver your baby? No, you would get a engineer or doctor. Why do you ask these ppl questions for psychologists and MFTs ?
Do you know how many Ulama or Alimahs are answering marriage questions from their own experiences or trauma and can’t separate that from their “nasiha” ? Let alone have the self awareness to refer out to an MFT or other counselor who is trained to do that
You shake your own Iman asking these ppl questions (suited for a specialist in that field) and they respond in a triggering/dismissive/gaslighting/incorrect way using Islamic terms and throwing in verses and hadiths out of context of the situation
