I retweeted a few points from this bc some white supremacists DO genuinely know what they spout is full of shit to absolve them of accountability.
But if you think every white supremacist is self-aware, you need to take a GOOD look at yourself in the mirror.

We were indoctrinated and socialized into a society that taught us upfront and subtle bigotries and boatlads full of propaganda. Many of the school shooters were /convinced/ that their actions were justified and their manifestos proved it.
What drove them is living in a system that doesn't give a damn about them, didn't give them the material security they were promised, or community nurturing, and they found alt right spaces that told them there was someone to blame.

Poor and working class whites and the coons that buy into it genuinely /do/ believe in the bullshit they read in grimy Facebook groups. It's the reason why separate reactionary sects in marginalized communities have beliefs that run painfully deep.
You can't shallowly look at reactionaries and just paint them all as 'narcissists' and 'sociopaths' like one big abuser in your life. Btw, please don't throw neurodivergent people w/ personality disorders under the bus. These people are just very hard-to-break-assholes.
So, again, while this is a GREAT thread, it's moreso for reactionaries that get a personal abusive kick out of hurting people and it's not unique. Our system INCENTIVIZES that behavior. Everyone has casual 'narcissistic' habits. We're TAUGHT to be cruel. Add class and its a mess.
Do not make the mistake of limiting your understanding of reactionaries by essentializing them.
