colonization continues everyday. so many Native communities are fighting for their lands. no treaties have ever been honored. colonization violently removes us from our lands for the sake of profit.

which leads into capitalism. which is one of the biggest roots.

this country was founded on the notion of running it like a business. everyone fought to be the richest by stealing from Natives and destroying us in violent acts. they stole our land, our minerals, our animals, everything they could profit off of. this was at the expense of Ntvs

and when they started to shove us onto reservations to assimilate us, theyd give most tribes the shittiest land while white men were given the best. many reservations today still dont have running water and are unsustainable lands. whiteness at work.

and some tribes dont even have reservations, like mine for example. they just allotted land to Comanche families and that divided us, and so then they conquered us.

and then they banished our cultures, and we had to practice our traditions in private. they were hard to preserve.

assimilation happened quickly enough that we almost lost everything. residential schools would literally beat Native people when they spoke their languages. they would abuse our ancestors until they were terrified of their own culture. they abused us until we were white.

and that is just a few examples of whiteness. whiteness is not a culture, its an oppressive force that only serves white folks [white privilege] and destroys us BIPOC. this is why you cannot ignore our injustices and this is why you must act to reverse what YOUR ancestors did.

whiteness IS generational. you CAN break it. you CAN unlearn a white mind. this is why you are responsible, you NEED to break that generational whiteness that runs so deep into this country that it continues to harm BIPOC in horrific ways everyday.
