A number of years ago, I was desperately trying to leave a job where I was being bullied. Two weeks into January I was on the phone with my career coach saying how frustrated and sad I was that my job search wasn’t going fast enough. Here is what she told me. 1/3

She said, you are not any less valuable because you haven’t got a new job yet. It is 2 whole weeks into the new year, & you are already upset because you’re not where you want to be. Keep doing the things you are doing right, and tweak the things you need to, but keep going. 2/3

I am saying this to say, it is only 7 whole DAYS into the new year, only 4 have been business days, & 1 of those days an attempted coup happened. Please pace yourself, be kind to yourself, and make sure you aren’t setting unreasonable or toxic expectations for yourself. 3/3
