Hey, if we're in the mood for predictions of right-wing activity in the next year that no one in the center will listen to:

The evangelical right and anti-trans feminists + conversion therapists will spend the next year pushing to end gender-affirming care for trans kids.
The Kiera Bell case in the UK gives a blueprint for the following emotional and rhetorical appeals that anti-trans coalitions will make, if not the precise legal arguments:

- gender-affirming care is all physiological (FALSE)
- puberty blockers are irreversible (FALSE)

(cont)
- puberty blockers "lead to" further gender-affirming care (UH YEAH, IF YOU'RE TRANS THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE)

- neither kids, their parents, NOR their doctors understand what they're consenting to around gender-affirming care (UM WHAT)
- gender-affirming care is "different," "special," "dangerous," and/or "unstudied" and therefore unsuitable for children

This is the most dangerous lie, and where I believe these anti-trans coalitions have the most traction with their base.
And this last lie is where we will see the most action.

There are several organizations comprised of the same couple-dozen anti-trans medical professionals that create the appearance of a consensus against gender-affirming care.

This tactic is called "credentialing."
These 40-odd professionals share board and executive leadership and membership among these organizations and are NOTHING compared to the MILLIONS of doctors who ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND the medicine and importance of trans-affirming care.

It's not even comparable. At all.
