Producing single/albums would take an immense amount of time and if you try to sell it through physical stores, it's most likely not going to reach a wide audience.
Use of Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Blog outreach, etc. can propel that one single or album much farther.
There are even platforms you can pay to put on top Spotify playlists that will give hundreds of thousands of plays.
