Thread: #ISIS sees opportunities in the US turmoil ( #CapitolHill), according to the editorial of its weekly paper al-Naba, which came out this evening 
The group argues that the internal political crisis, which it predicts will drag on, will keep the US preoccupied with its internal problems, leaving jihadists to make significant gains in Muslim countries
“What concerns us [in Capitol events] is this: the US will be even more preoccupied with itself. Its internal political struggle will prompt its leaders to reduce spendings on fighting Muslims [meaning jihadists] and to continue to pull out of their [Muslim] areas”.
This scenario, jihadists hope, will allow them to operate freely
The editorial says there’s already been a significant downsizing in the war against ISIS by both the US and the “international Crusader campaign”, adding that this worries IS’s local & regional enemies and militant rivals. Group says its resurgence is a matter of time.
