A few notes from my long strange Wood call this evening. To start, he was holed up in his bedroom watching OAN. I could hear a segment on human trafficking in the background...
He said this about the capitol insurrection:
"I don't believe anybody died yesterday. I think it was all staged. I don't just listen to what y'all say. It was Antifa dressed up as Trump people. I apply critical thinking & the instincts God gave me."
Speaking of God, he said...

"I'm not God! I'm just a person who understands what's going on & why. If I'm God, I've got one bad memory! I don't remember creating myself, the clouds, the oceans, stars. But do I try to live like God? This is the second harvest. God is getting ready to show he's real again."
Wood railed against China and "China sympathizers" ("like Jack Dorsey"). I asked about his iPhone made in China. "I don't keep up with where an iPhone is made. If this phone is made in China, I'll flush it down the toilet tomorrow. I'll give you the phone, after I wipe it clean."
On the pandemic, Wood said: "I have never had a Covid test. And I wouldn't believe it if I did." He added, "I don't wear a mask. God would have created me with a mask, if I needed a mask." Then he remembered that he did wear one once, when he voted for Trump.
Speaking of Trump, Wood made a bet with me: "On January twentieth, Trump will be sworn in as President of the USA. If he isn't, I'll buy you dinner at Bone's [an Atlanta steakhouse]."
A few random notes:
-he said he cried when Nixon resigned
-while denying that he was God, he compared himself to King David ("I've had four wives!")
-he confirmed that he did not vote in the run-offs
-he said that he has "no regrets" about anything he's said during the past year.
