Trans twitter: don’t get 10k followers, people stop treating you like a human

By “trans twitter” I mean @Melstonemusic specifically
Anyway I see a LOT of tweets about how trans femmes with 10k followers are out of touch and I beg you to consider how the standard to which we are held might lead to blander content and less responsiveness over time and how that fits into what our society expects of women.
I am not a brand. I am not inspiration porn. I am not a bit. I am just one trans woman desperate for friendship and community and this is where it exists right now. If you find yourself upset by something I have said I beg you to just quietly unfollow me and go on with your day.
It’s been a really long week, and it’s getting to me a bit as you can probably tell. Take care of yourself. Love each other. Assume best intentions. Log off. 💜
