Arsenal Player Offensive Statistical Analysis 20/21 to date.

A thread.
Goals: (All Comps)

🇫🇷 Alex Lacazette 9
🇬🇦 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 5
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Eddie Nketiah 5
🇨🇮 Nicolas Pepe 5
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bukayo Saka 3
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Joe Willock 3
xG per 90: (Prem- over 300 mins played)

🇫🇷 Alex Lacazette 0.52
🇨🇮 Nicolas Pepe 0.33
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Eddie Nketiah 0.32
🇬🇦 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 0.30
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bukayo Saka 0.28
This data reinforces Lacazette's very good off the ball movement and consistent ability to get into goal scoring positions. His finishing has been criticised this season, but having scored 7 goals from his 5 xG, his finishing should be considered marginally above average.
This data, however, showcases Arsenal's lack of goal threat from areas other than Lacazette. Pepe's xG/90 of 0.33 shows him to be a serious goal threat from out wide, although this is somewhat misleading, with his npxG/90 just 0.18.
The lack of service for Auba is a real cause for concern. Those saying his goals will return should probably look at this underlying data. He suffered a major xG drop off last season, but was able to negate this with incredible finishing throughout. Unsustainable.
Saka proves to be a consistent goal threat from out wide, even if the finishing hasn't quite come with it yet. He may not be a natural finisher in the long-term, something we'll discover in the next year or so, but with the chances he's getting, you'd expect a bit more luck (1)
(2) to come in the second half of the season, and his goal tally to increase steadily.
Assists: (All Comps)

🇪🇸 Hector Bellerin 4
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Joe Willock 4
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Emile Smith-Rowe 4
🇨🇮 Nicolas Pepe 4
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bukayo Saka 3
🇧🇷 Willian 3
xA/90: (Prem)

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Emile Smith-Rowe 0.38
🇪🇸 Dani Ceballos 0.19
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Eddie Nketiah 0.17
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Kieran Tierney 0.16
🇪🇸 Hector Bellerin 0.15
ESR excelling on the creative front. Have to caveat this with the small sample size of just 228 League minutes, but I thought I'd include it to show just how promising his start has been. Creating chances- and high quality ones- at a rate no-one else in our squad can match.
Dani Ceballos the creative hub of our side prior to ESR's introduction. Hopefully the blonde KDB will alleviate some of this responsibility, as it's not where Ceballos is supposed to thrive- his area of expertise is ball progression and defensive interventions.
No surprise to see our two-full backs excelling going forward. Tierney's creative abilities hidden in the actual assist numbers due to poor finishing. Interestingly, TAA's xA/90 of 0.15 is below Tierney's and matches Bellerin's. Our full-backs outputs remain underrated.
Successful Dribbles per 90: (Prem- over 200 mins played)

🇬🇭 Thomas Partey 2.26
🇨🇮 Nicolas Pepe 1.76
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Eddie Nketiah 1.71
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bukayo Saka 1.68
🇪🇸 Dani Ceballos 1.42
Again, to caveat this with sample size, Partey's is small. However, I included it to show what we're missing without him currently in the midfield. Someone athletic, mobile, who can drive forward with the ball from deep positions, take people out of the game and avoid the press.
Pepe may infuriate us at times by trying to do too much and that is reflected in his 40% dribble success rate, but at least he does try things and it comes off almost frequently enough to justify it. If it comes off slightly more consistently, we may see him in a different light.
Nketiah's regular appearance on these lists perhaps suggests he's underrated by the fanbase? His movement, predatory abilities, enthusiasm and effectiveness in the press make him a competent modern day striker. It's his finishing and hold up ability that needs major work.
