The answer to this question could be either of the three options. However, the closest would be “we don’t know.”

To understand why I conclude this, I have developed this thread for us. I have divided the answer into Seven key points: 2n
1.Experience of reality is not equivalent to the definitions (and the words) used to describe it
a.Mary experiences pain
b.Mary describes pain to a doctor through her words.
c.The experience of pain is not the same as description Mary used to describe it to the doctor. 3n
2.Consciousness is private.
a.Mary has access to her own consciousness. Therefore, her experiences (of her reality) are hers alone.
b.Willy has access to his own consciousness. Willy’s experiences are his alone.
c.Mary cannot have access to Willy’s consciousness. 4n
... And neither Willy can access Mary’s.
d.Therefore, we cannot access Mary or Willy’s consciousness
e.Mary and Willy can however describe the experience of their consciousness.
f.However, we have learnt from ‘1’ that description of reality is not the experience of reality.5n
3.Reality and language (definition or taxonomy)
a.When “experience of reality” is precisely defined we get definitions or taxonomy
b.Therefore, it is important to note the first usage of any word in human history to understand its corresponding meaning. ...6n
...c.Then, the changes in meaning of a word is tracked till we reach the contemporary usage of word.
d.Without naming an “experience of reality” we can not have a meaningful conversation easily. For example, if two people, without names met for first time in a café ...7n
...and converse about things that have no names then we can imagine challenges they would face. They cannot order a coffee without spending hours to describe it.

4.There can be no conflict between Mary and Willy regarding language.
a.Mary drew green leaf as per experience 8n
...b.She called the leaf “green.”
c.Willy cannot peek into Mary’s mind, but he is certain about the name of color – green, that he learnt for the first time from Mary. This implies that Willy is only certain about the name of color (language) and nothing else. ...9n
...d.Willy’s consciousness may see this color, either as green or any other color, according to his own consciousness. We have no idea which color is projected by Willy’s consciousness to him, but we know that that color would always call that color – Green to others....10n
...e.Like wise if a third person learns the name of color from Willy, he too will always call that color as green. We have no idea which color the consciousness of third person projects it to him.

5.Some examples
a.From Bible account
i.Jesus sees spirits & cast them out. 11n
ii.Elisha could see that those who were with him were more than Aramean army that surrounded him 2 Kings 6:16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 12n
b.Children can see more dimensions than grown up: https://www.berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/99legacy/8-10-1999.html
http://c.Gifts  and talents vary among persons – eg. Interest in mathematics, music and arts etc

6.Utmost care to limit the change in the meanings of the words:...13n
...a.“Experience of reality” and language go hand in hand.
b.If some words of language are diluted or vaguely defined, then it severely affects the perception of reality.
c.Deliberate attempt to change language should be resisted because it may end us confusing many ...14n
– Prof. Jordon Peterson’s work in this regard is commendable.
d.For Christians, Bible is source of all definition. The importance of it could be understood from that fact that God, asked Adam to name or define animals in Genesis....15n
7.Assurance to view reality as in its fullest:
a.Jesus IS reality, His experience if full and His words are complete.
b.1 Corinthians 13: 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known...16n
...c.Therefore, on the earth, Mary and Willy will only know in part, as enabled by the Lord in their consciousness. We, who know the truth better in not wholly, need to empathise with those who do not know the Lord or are new in faith or are ignorant.

God bless! 17/17
