A lot of Republicans are changing their public tune today primarily because their filthiest, stupidest white cousins showed up at their office to say I LOVE YOU in front of everybody. Embarrassing when the veneer of respectability is gone and we see who you kiss behind the shed!
Note I didn't say "poorest." Trump's voters are mainly middle-class and upper-class whites. It takes money to afford fancy tech to broadcast yourself in a full silly costume like you're auditioning for a Parable Of The Sower adaptation as Murderous Cult White #9870689.
There's another term I use interchangeably with stupid..."willfully ignorant." Access to every information resource on the planet, and certainly able to afford nice phones, fancy gear, wacky little outfits...but addicted to power. Anyway, none of this is new, except for the tech.
White supremacy is not a mental illness, but it is one of the most addictive poisons on the planet. For a lot of these losers, yesterday was like a big kegger. Some of their own died, and they'll call them martyrs, but really? To them it's a sacrifice to the Party gods.
And yes, I said the Party gods. Yesterday was the real RNC. That's who they are. And it's who they've been since the '60s. And a lot of us whites have these people in our families and in our neighborhoods. It is a duty to disengage and to condemn. Don't coddle. Prosecute.

Anyway. I am endlessly appreciative of those of you who are better-educated on this (often self-educated on the streets, but I also give kudos to those who studied politics in university and used their knowledge to help people). Thank you for standing up for what's right.
