I simply cannot help myself tweeting about this again. @roddreher actually thinks that @goarch deliberately scheduled a lecture at the same time as his lecture @stvlads as a way of offering a “rival version” (another bad MacIntyre rip off) to his authentic Orthodoxy 1/3

What Mr. authentic Orthodoxy, aka culture warrior, does not know, apparently, is that it is Three Hierarchs Day (Chrysostom, Basil, & Gregory), and @goarch has this lecture every year. I’m sure the good people at @stvlads know this and will not see it as Dreher is describing2/3

But what @roddreher is right to discern is that my colleague @GDemacopoulos, who is an excellent historian and faithful Orthodox Christian, will no doubt present a counter-Dreher picture of these great intellectual theologians of the Orthodox Tradition. 3/3
