Unpopular take coming up.

I just watched the entire Trump speech. It sounded like every other Trump speech. He wasn't inciting anything.

You can fact check him if you want. He never gets everything right.

But he has a a right to his free speech as much as anyone.

I also think he's delusional, especially near the beginning of the speech where he says "we are never going to concede."

Even if an election was stolen or fraudulent, we still follow a process. While he was speaking, the electoral votes were being presented to Congress.
3/6 There were 250,000 people rallying for Trump & against the election fraud, in which they believe the election was stolen (and have many reasons to think so). They just wanted their voice heard.

Like the tea parties of 2009, etc they congregated peacefully, but were demeaned.
4/6 I had friends in DC yesterday at the rallies.

They told me then that from VERY EARLY ON, there were two groups congregated -- one at the ellipse w/ Trump -- and one at the Capitol.

The folks at the ellipse were just finishing listen to Trump when Capitol was stormed.
5/6 Trump said nothing to "incite" the crowd or encourage violence in any way. At least 80% of the 250,000 went home.

And there's basically no way people listening to him at the ellipse by the White House could even get to the Capitol in time to storm the barricades.
6/6 Irregardless he simply told them to make their voices heard. Anything else construed by this, is pure fantasy.

As the violence started at the Capitol, he immediately tweeted that people should not be violent and we are the party of law and order and he backed the blue.
