Fuck it. Gonna make a thread on every wrong decision Lampard has made as Chelsea manager. Going back to this summer, straight into where we are now. Some of you lot need waking up.
1. The purchase, and usage, of Timo Werner
Werner was bought and expected to make a mark, which he hasn’t. It isn’t completely his fault, Lampard refuses to play him as a striker, instead opting to play him on the wing. Despite his predicament, he has 14 G/A in 24 games.

It’s clear to see that he is contributing as much as he can, being played as a winger those are genuinely decent numbers, but we haven’t got the best out of him yet, and that’s solely down to Lampard’s refusal to play him as a striker.
2. The purchase, and usage, of Kai Havertz
Kai Havertz was a shimmering star in the Bundesliga, flourishing as a CAM, where he had freedom to play his best football. He was so good, he was being considered a generational talent, at just 21 years of age. What does Lampard do?

The only logical conclusion, of course! Play him out of position, either on the wing or in a 3 man midfield behind the forwards, given zero freedom to play his game. Due to his poor start, Lampard decides to bench him, instead of instill some confidence in his young star.
3. Player Favoritism: Mason Mount
Mason Mount is a decent player, but should not be starting every week. Due to Lampard reliance on Mount, he’s been unable to produce his best football, out of exhaustion. Mason is currently one of the “undroppable” players in Lampard’s mind.

An added side effect: Mount’s underwhelming football in many games has made him the major scapegoat of the fanbase. This isn’t his fault, the fans, or anyone else other than Lampard’s braindead management in trying to play him every game, 90 min every time.
4. Player favoritism: N’golo Kante
A world class player in his day, Kante has been poor for Chelsea since the start of the 19/20 season, yet despite numerous mistakes which cost the team goals, he is still making every match day squad, with seemingly no threat of being dropped.

Lampard once again is to blame, refusing to drop a clearly deteriorating footballer, but also sending out a talented Ethan Ampadu out on loan to the worst team in the Premier League, which will clearly shatter his confidence coming back from a relegation.
5. Player Favoritism: Mateo Kovacic
Despite being Chelsea’s best performer of all of last season, Mateo Kovacic has been reduced to a rotational role in the squad, unable to complete a full 90 or starting on the bench. The lack of faith for his own POTY in 19/20 is disgusting.

Kovacic is one of the players in the team currently who SHOULD be playing every 90, just like last season, so his persistence on rotating him with Jorginho in favor of MASON MOUNT to play every 90 makes absolutely no sense.
6. Player Favoritism: Callum Hudson-Odoi
In many games this season, CHO has given us glimmers of hope and a window to gaze at his talent. Undoubtedly a talented player, he gets almost no starts, instead being benched in favor of Timo Werner on the wing, a STRIKER.

The lack of faith in CHO is, once again, down to Lampard’s own belief in certain “undroppable” players, whereas the players who should be getting chances don’t get any for zero reason.
7: Player Favoritism: Olivier Giroud
It’s because of Oli that we reached an FA Cup final last year and made Top 4. What’s his reward? Benched. Zero game time. Can’t even make it off the bench in most games, with the threat of his contract expiring, despite him WANTING to stay.

He also scores FOUR GOALS in ONE GAME against Sevilla in the UCL, basically SCREAMING “Please start me”. His reward? Benched again. He started vs Aston Villa, and hasn’t played since.
Oh, he scored a goal against Villa by the way :)

8. Tactics
Instead of accommodating his new signings, changing a clearly underperforming system, and utilizing many of the unfairly underused players, Lampard continues to use a failing philosophy in hopes that it can turn good. Spoilers: It never will.

His main game plan consists of crossing the ball aimlessly into the box numerous times during the game, either to 5’8 Werner, or Abraham, who can’t head.
Who can get on the end of crosses at Chelsea? Giroud. Where is he? Firmly stapled to the bench.
Brilliant.

9. The treatment of Kepa Arrizabalaga
Controversial take, but Kepa’s treatment is a DISGRACE. Instead of trying to put some confidence into his underperforming No.1, Lampard just tossed him aside like common rubbish, never to be trusted again. Similar to Kai Havertz...

10. The purchase of Edouard Mendy
Despite a promising start, Mendy has been poor as the number 1. The purchase is turning out to be a mistake. He was bought late into the window, panicking after Kepa made a few mistakes, and trusting whatever Petr Cech told them. 20m wasted.

Mendy should’ve been brought to push Kepa, to give him more motivation to be better, not for Mendy to be thrown in as the number 1 and for Kepa to not get any more chances. Brilliant man management that is. And how come Rennes sold him for so cheap? Hmmmm....
11. The treatment of Ross Barkley
Despite being a reliable cup player for Chelsea, Frank Lampard deemed him useless, and threw him away on loan to Top 4 chasing Aston Villa, where he is flourishing. That’s what happens when you let a talented footballer go.

12. The Chillwell/Reece James problem.
5th place Chelsea travel to 15th place Arsenal, who are fighting for relegation. Both Reece James and Ben Chillwell were deemed unfit for the match. Emerson and Azpilicueta were set to be the starting full-backs. Instead...

... both started! Instead of ripping into Lampard for starting TWO unfit fullbacks, the fanbase SHOWERS HIM WITH PRAISE, bigging up his mind games. WHAT???
No surprise, they were crap because they weren’t ready, and we lost 3-1. TACTICAL GENIUS FRANK LAMPARD STRIKES AGAIN.

13. The treatment of Fikayo Tomori.
Despite having a bright first season at the club, Fikayo Tomori has been frozen out completely, receiving 0 minutes this season, even with Kurt Zouma underperforming. Tomori is reportedly “heartbroken”, because he might have to leave.

This is a boyhood Chelsea fan, who has given 15 years of his life, since he was 8, to Chelsea football club. Despite him wanting minutes, Frank Lampard has told him “no”, and also REFUSES to send him out on loan to get minutes.
Disgraceful.
Disgraceful.
14. The treatment of Charly Musonda Jr.
Another boyhood Chelsea player, who suffered a long injury and has just recently come back. Currently struck with an injury crisis on the wings, Musonda would be a great option off the bench, right?
Nope, not even given a shirt number.

15. The overall treatment of the youth.
Despite the likes of Abraham, Mount, James, Gilmour and Tomori shining last season, Frank Lampard told them EXACTLY what he thinks of them, by replacing all but one of them in his long term plans.

Yes, I realize they’re playing now, but imagine how they must’ve felt when every single one of them, bar Reece James, now had to fight even more to get their chance this season after a summer of spending. The likes of Fikayo Tomori and Billy Gilmour don’t even get minutes.
16. Post match arrogance
Frank Lampard has remained adamant that he is not under pressure, and that he can get the best out of this team, while continuously blaming the players after every defeat, abstaining himself from ANY blame most matches.
Wow.

Wow.
An added side effect: He’s clearly tearing the dressing room apart, and it’s clear that a mutiny may be forming between a few players right now.
Conclusion:
Frank Lampard is horrible for Chelsea football club. Misusing his brightest stars, poor transfer decisions, inept tactics, unfairly freezing out players, not rewarding players, stubbornness to change systems, post match shit-spewing, and a fuckton of other things.

Before I close this thread out, I want to say a few things.
Frank Lampard is a Chelsea legend, whatever happens will not tarnish his legacy at this football club, and I will always love him.
But, he is not the right man to manage Chelsea football club, not right now.
