What would listing the Proud Boys as a terrorist group accomplish? Is it a viable prospect? Short thread: /n https://twitter.com/thejagmeetsingh/status/1347284583709093889
To best listed as a terrorist entity, they would have had to have "knowingly carried out, attempted to carry out, participated in or facilitated a terrorist activity". After yesterday, that criteria is probably met.

On the technical side, law enforcement / security services would have to draft up a rationale for their listing, identifying all the times they've engaged in terrorist acts. However, at the end of the day, this is ultimately a political (Governor in Council decision)
What would this achieve? Well, a lot of those implications would be financial. The group would have their property seized / forfeited, and banks / other entities would report their property as terrorist property to @FINTRAC_Canada
