It is not a good use of time to litigate that one violent protest was better or worse than another - I don't want to do it, and I have no idea why Biden and Harris are doing it.
In a survey of its members, the Major City Chiefs Association found that departments used tear gas less than 2 percent of the time. Many departments did not report a single usage. As others have noted, tear gas was obviously and reasonably used yesterday.
