We're doing the 30's all wrong again just like clockwork. We have the script, we've been following it perfectly, just with a 21st century American twist. Let's look at what's to come and how to have a different outcome this time

Then and now, decades of unprecedented prosperity came with social and cultural disruption. Educated urbanites became wealthy and remade the culture in their image. Rural and older people struggled to make ends meet while feeling alienated by the new world not of their making.
Then and now, deep right wing grassroots movements reorganized the minds of a big minority of the population. The fight of the rural/old vs. the urban/new was all fun in games as long as everyone was getting rich. Then came WWI and economic collapse.
Then and now, when traditional centrist parties couldn't stop the decline, in Europe new parties rose up on the left and right. In US, it's factions within the 2 parties. They did politics with words and fists in the press and streets. <We Are Here!>
<Next Up:>In the 30's both sides started wearing uniforms and insignia, going around in organized bands looking for fights. But the right wing parties ALWAYS won. Why? Because the police were always on their side.
Eventually, in every country where the center parties/factions could not reverse decline, extreme right wing parties/factions took over the state, and then used the police+uniformed street fighters to create a totalitarian fascist society.
That didn't happen in the US because FDR reverse decline. He took big risks and went all the way to make that happen because he understood the danger. We don't know how long we have. Biden MUST go all the way and reverse decline.
If he refuses to reverse decline, then nothing else will do the trick. You can block the right on Twitter and FB all you want. That won't stop it. Murdoch can tell Fox to cool it. That won't stop it. You have to make people's lives better.
No matter that the fanatic right is a small minority--so was Hitler's following when he took power. A determined, well-organized minority with the police on their side and a leader in the White House can do anything they want. And Biden will lose '24 unless he reverses decline.
