I see a lot of people on here disagree with my sentiment so let me be absolutely clear why I said to show compassion*

To overcome the cancers of Trumpism, Qanon, Neo-Fascism, we must emotionally understand what motivates these people and then work to root out those conditions.
Ashli, like many others who rushed the Capitol were diluted by Qanon content.

There are entire online communities that seek to weaponize people like Ashli Babbitt.

There are discord boards of nihilistic Q-Larpers who trawl YouTube predating on vulnerable or mentally ill people.
When I say "compassion" I am not implying you should validate the things they purport to believe in —all I am saying is to take a step back and internalize that the shitposting to real world violence pipeline just led to another woman losing her life.

And that is tragic.
As we speak the seeds for the next tragedy like this are being cultivated.

I've been sharing this a lot but when @esglaude said "this is us!" we need to internalize that fact —and meaningfully root out those evils, lest we be doomed to keep repeating. https://twitter.com/sparrowmedia/status/1324005571499040769?s=20
