My final (I promise) thoughts on this whole #Dubaigate situation.I think this is why so many of us are annoyed.
A lot of us go above & beyond our jobs, our time & energy
to help women's sport & in particular football, get the platform & space it so rightly deserves.
We supported the sport when it was ignored by others.
We have fought battles in our work places to get the sport the spotlight it deserves.
We defend the players on socials & get personally trolled for it.

As an ex-international I would have given anything to have the support & opportunity to earn a living like some of these players do to play the sport they love.
But a lot of girl in the WSL still are on very little money, most girls in the UK playing sport aren't professional.

So my message to the Dubai lot is this. Equality in football has not been achieved. When you step out you are still building the game for others & your fellow professionals. And just like the being on a fancy yacht, one wrong turn can bring the whole crew down. JUST BE BETTER.
