Plain Language Policy... again? #yyccc
Do you understand what this paragraph means? It’s been ten years since the @cityofcalgary introduced a Plain Language Policy, yet we continue to use language that is overly technical, ambiguous, confusing, and isolating.
Here’s the original motion from 2011:

How can Calgarians be engaged in the work the city does if they don’t understand it?
Bafflegab helps no one. The decisions, the plans, the work we do must be as easy to understand, and as transparent as possible.
