Hey smug Canada:

Last night a small group of Indigenous youth were protesting peacefully at the gates of the #TMX pipeline site down the mountain from where we live.

I counted 6 RCMP vehicles that showed up in response to the protest. SIX. /1
Six RCMP vehicles came screaming up with their lights on.

For a small group of youth.

Who were peaceful.

Who are Indigenous. /2
I have no commentary about this, except to ask you to pause in your scrolling to think about:

1. Racism in Canada
2. Who do the police actually serve?

I normally tweet about health care, but racism + climate change ARE health care issues. /3
I know we want to desperately pretend everything is okay, but please do not turn away from the suffering in the world. #stoptmx @MtnProtectors @AgainstTmx
