Really genuinely curious as to what people think the answers are . . . How do we FIX SEND and I mean specifics not just 'make LA's accountable'. How? How do you do that? Where would you start? What are the solutions as you see them?
These are my solutions: Add costs and damages to SENDIST. Given that parents win 90% of cases I don't think we've got that much to FEAR lol
Change the Law. FINE LA's. Make Directors of Children's Services personally accountable. Move them on sharpish if things to do not improve.
Introduce a regulatory body - a proper one. As the man told me today at the LGSCO they are not a regulatory body.
Keep a SEND offenders register 🤪 Where parents can report professionals who break the law.
