In all the difficult conversations & social media interactions, you may have had with Christians this past year where you were left scratching your head, you have to keep in mind that your one conversation or tweet cannot undo years of liturgical programming.
Liturgy that has:
- people repetitively singing "and if our God is for us than who could ever stop us" with American flags in the front of their church
-Sunday school "end times" classes where people read news headlines & force them to fit Biblical "prophecies"
- daily commutes filled right-wing talk radio
- 4th of July "Freedom Services" at church
- daily pledges of allegiance to an American flag first and a "Christian" flag after at your K-12 Christian school
-hours upon hours of Alex Jones conspiracy videos, Q stuff on youtube, etc
My own journey took years and years of exposure to not just better ideas, but better Christian practices.

The work we have do in our homes and institutions now is to have a complete reevaluation of our liturgies/practices, because we ARE what we LOVE.
