This makes me furious. I'm working in a theater in a private hospital, we never stopped during the HSE takeover we worked off nearly their complete waiting list plus a huge part of their cancer diagnostic procedures in Urology in 2 month.
This makes me furious. I'm working in a theater in a private hospital, we never stopped during the HSE takeover we worked off nearly their complete waiting list plus a huge part of their cancer diagnostic procedures in Urology in 2 month.
Yes, some of the theatres were left empty not because the private didn't want to do the cases, but because of the politics going on within the public hospital and HSE not sending patients.
I think all frontline workers in all areas have had their green jerseys on for a long time now and we got a round of applause for it. We in the private sector didn't get 10% raise for the risk or a bonus in anyway.
Yet we will be providing 25%public care again in the coming month getting more cases done than the public hospital in the same time. We are not getting the vaccine because we're only working in the private sector yet we're treated public patients.
I am so fed up with these undermining and disrespectful comments of politicians that probably earn 10 times what I earn and never have to put themselves at risk to do their job. Don't get me wrong I love my job and what we do as nurses but these comments have to stop.
