The extreme bias of much of the media, coupled with Big Tech's double standards for censorship, fuels disinformation and conspiracy theories.
If the ones decrying disinformation are themselves peddling unfair and misleading narratives, why would anyone listen to them?

I have personally witnessed this for years... from @Twitter banning @LiveAction's ad account while allowing abortion business ad accounts, to @Facebook partnering with actual abortionists to issue blatantly misleading "fact checks" of my page & threatening to restrict its reach.
Despite the fact that most news media & Big Tech insists they are not politically biased, it is clear to many people that they are. THIS is why trust is at an all time low. We are losing the ability to see clearly because the ones that insist they DO, are constantly misleading us
And when algorithms by the for-profit Big Tech companies are designed to favor the most outrageous, sensational & divisive rhetoric (all for $$), it is a perfect storm. Big Tech needs to take responsibility. And that doesn't mean they become an even Bigger Brother & up censorship
It means Big Tech must revolutionize their business model to be more HUMANE and ethical. It means News Media takes a long, hard look in the mirror and commits to acknowledging their blatant bias & bringing alternate perspectives to the table. It must mean reform.
It's also a call to personal responsibility for each and every one of us. We must learn to think and read critically. Check your sources. Check your own biases. Learn to spot logical fallacies. Scrutinize sources, ESPECIALLY the loud ones that claim to be experts in everything.
