I hope we’re all clear about the fact that was happened yesterday is exactly what white evangelical Christians have wanted to happen for about five decades.
I don’t give a shit about the PR statements they issue today. This was always their end goal.

Y'all, listen to me: white evangelicals do not deserve your "benefit of the doubt". They do not deserve your gentleness, your understanding, your excuses on their behalf. YOU JUST THINK THEY DO BECAUSE THEY ARE WHITE SO YOU ARE NOT CONVINCED OF THEIR VIOLENCE.
They literally want a country where nobody is allowed to be anything other than Evangelical. And they are prepared to VIOLENTLY make that happen. Stop making excuses for these fucking people.
