Tabish was impulsive and doer. He was getting frustrated on the slow happenings at govt. He was not fitting into the system. 1/6

In a bureaucratic chatter (grade 21/22) a month ago, it was predicted that Tabish would leave soon - his impulse nature was not gelling well with the govt machinery. He had repeatedly shown his frustration in cabinets meetings. This was slowly building on him. 2/6

In recent IPPs negotiation; he was trying to deal on payment mechanism - his view was to pay IPPs at once at discount; rather than paying in 3 tranches. He spoke to certain IPPs without having nod of Finance. He was kind of in a tight spot 3/6

There was potential conspiracy brewing. He was on Board of Byco and was head of audit committee. The findings of recent Petroleum commission report are that two oil cargos of Byco which which have traces of Iranian oil. Its not allowed 4/n

Paper trail was from a third destination; but content was Iranian. There is no evidence of involvement of Byco management or board. But he was signatory of Audit Committee. Cabinet has formed a subcommittee under @Asad_Umar which will present its finding in a week or two 5/ 6

Tabish left for Dubai on Friday to spent time with family; didn't come back. As per news, he sent resignation to PM on Tuesday. His minster & cabinet members were unaware. His exact reasons of resignations are unknow. He was energetic doer. Its sad he is gone. 6/6
