This narrative is complete crap and only stokes further division.

- Over a 100+ day period, some 570 George Floyd protests turned violent. During all of that, *one* protestor was killed by police.
- That death toll was matched in under 90 minutes during the Capitol Hill riot. https://twitter.com/ChrisEvans/status/1346927215720734722
These protests were substantially different. Some parallels can be drawn, some of which will be more useful than others.

Anyone who thinks the violence of yesterday was justified can sod right off, and anyone exploiting that violence to amplify racial tensions can join them.
