Russians seeking revenge over the cold war and Iranians hoping to bring down western civilization must be pissing themselves with glee over all this. All they had to do was install a crazy man as president, and then sit back and watch us tear our country apart all by ourselves./1
Now, not only do they get the mayhem of inciting mentally ill people to storm the Capitol, they also get the left whipped into a frenzy of righteous grievance, deploring the inaction of law enforcement as further evidence of systemic racism. /2
Which is probably is, but in this case the kid-glove treatment of the rioters seemed to be orchestrated at the highest levels, by Trump and the political hacks he recently installed at the Department of Defense. /3
It’s important to look beyond the chaos to see where it’s coming from and what it’s designed to do. And do our best not to serve its purpose. If you're focused only on hating Trump and Trump supporters, ask yourself, is this all coming from no where? /4
Who is using them, and toward what end? By focusing on them and stopping there, am I also being duped into participating in the destruction of my country? /5
There's no need to fly planes into buildings when they can just flood Facebook with memes and groups spewing hyperbole to reinforce the hatred on both sides. They just drop the hockey puck between the two groups and watch us go at it. /6
