Kumar Sangakkara made his international debut at the age of 22 in a test against South Africa on 20 July 2000 in his team's only innings he scored 23 before he was adjudged LBW by the umpire. (Sri Lanka won that match by an innings and 15 runs).
What followed after is history. He kept on breaking records and made many different records in the process becoming One the Greatest Batsman of All-time.
Sangakkara played 134 tests , 404 ODIs and 56 T20Is for Sri Lanka in which he scored 12400 runs in tests @ 57.41 , 14234 runs in ODIs @ 42.0 and 1382 runs in T20Is @ 31.41 (in total 28,016 international runs).
