BTW, I didn’t think Trump should be removed from office over the Ukraine call. I thought the American people should have the final judgment on Trump - and they made it in November. https://bit.ly/2CRd2tH
But this is different. This is President Trump encouraging an angry mob to march on Capitol Hill and prevent the legislative branch of government from performing its duties, and then dragging his feet on restoring order. https://bit.ly/38kQVMv
I’m not a fan of the 25th Amendment suggestion, because it’s never been used before, it’s clearly meant for something like a stroke, and I’m not sure Trump’s mental state today is different from last week, or last month, or last year. https://bit.ly/38kQVMv
Trump’s wrongdoing was impeding the legislative branch from doing its job. It is a crime against the Constitution and separation of powers. Thus, the legislative branch should be the entity responding and handing out the consequences for Trump’s actions. https://bit.ly/38kQVMv
Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he cannot resist the temptation to make angry people even angrier, to goad and provoke and agitate when the situation calls for calm, and to turn the tension up higher at the worst moments. https://bit.ly/38kQVMv
The man currently sitting in the Oval Office always shows up to a blazing inferno with a firehose full of gasoline. https://bit.ly/38kQVMv
