A Thread on Season 1 of LotGH ( Episode 1-26)

CAST : First of all, this is not a disrespect to Reinhard or any other character but at the moment Yang Wenli is clear from the rest. Easily my top 1 character rn in the series ..(1/8)
... He hates the stupidity of war more than anyone but he's the best in war strategies too. His ideals and views on war, politics and militant forces are thought provoking and forces me to see it in a different light. Reinhard on the other hand.. (2/8)
... I believe after the tragic death of Kircheis, he will get way better and become a more interesting character. He's still great but his screen presence is not as dominating as I've expected before starting LotGH. His grudge against the Empire.. (3/8)
... and his backstory was handled well but nothing special. The one aspect I'm looking forward the most rn is the side cast, I can already see the potential of LotGH cast to become one of my favourites. I suck at remembering those long names so I've written down all the... (4/8)
.. major ones, lol. Julian, Miitermeyer, Oberstein, Reuenthal and others, all are unique and interesting.
(5/8)
Grandiose themes like War, Politics, Corruption, Hierarchy, Favouritism, Friendship, Greed, etc impressed me with the right execution. Empire and Alliance both got their own share of problems, there's no black or white, good or evil here. LotGH excels in handling.. (6/8)
dual-protagonists (Yang and Reinhard) and it never felt like the plot is doing injustice to any of them. Production is alright, artstyle can be inconsistent though at sometime. Sound effects could be a lot better but Ig I shouldn't have high expectations.
(7/8)
Filled with rich dialogues, tremendous world-building, interesting characters, conflicting ideals, amazing dynamics, brilliantly written characters, as*holes politicians and others, I'm expecting nothing less than greatness from LotGH in the later seasons and.. (8/9)
.. I hope it excels. In short, a great start to the series. (9/9)
