Thank you to everyone who spent the last five years warning that yesterday was a tomorrow away.

If you're just now getting on the boat of recognizing that Trump is an autocrat, a fascist, and a menace to democracy, welcome aboard.

But please don't take the most comfortable seats and feel entitled to navigate. Some people have been aboard awhile and their feet are tired.

If you are a leader in media, a thing you can do today is look back on who was telling you about yesterday back in 2015 and give them leadership roles, give them columns, give them anchor chairs, give them management duties.

They are right there on your Zoom call.

I am determined to reclaim the word "alarmist." I'm grateful to alarmists.
