i see a lot of discussions of this topic here on twitter so i decided to express my opinion
the stuff happening in the us? bad. terrifying. other countries, including mine, might have it worse in general, but still, this is not oppression olympics.

if you say the american people, the ones who are not the trump supporters that are accountable for what happened, somehow DESERVE this, because they happen to live there — you're fucked in the head.
it's the same as it was during the us presidential election, people saying that somehow EVERYONE in the red states deserved what was coming
even if you're mad at the american people for being ignorant and turning a blind eye to the problems in your country, it's still a dumb thing to say that they somehow deserve the mistreatment
HOWEVER. people who say that it is everyone's obligation to stay up to date with the current us events? the ones who say that we, people of other countries, should vigorously spread the news no matter what? genuinely just shut up
some people don't have the mental resources to do so and guilttripping them into thinking it is their duty to retweet stuff about y'all's political issues is fucked up
the entire world is subjected to learning news about the us and i bet a bunch of people in my country knows more about the us government than they do about our own
