Global Times offers their account of Xinjiang's demographic situation. They don't deny any factual claims made by e.g. @adrianzenz or myself. They just say the birth rate decline is good. I have looked for this data on a few occasions and never found it.
To the extent you believe it, what it's showing is that China's attempt to assimilate Uyghurs in Xinjiang is failing on a colossal scale.

What China is creating is a region which is richer than it was in the past, with deeper resentments than it had in the past, and with an even larger ethnic minority share than it had in the past.
