A short thread
'We will fight against our fate
We will not give ourselves our destiny'
These lines are from YouSeeBIGGIRL. The story of aot is all about the destiny and how there is little that can be done to avoid it. Time and again the cycle keeps continuing because no one is able+
to break out of it. No one is able to defy their destiny. Biggest example of that is Eren. He tried for four years to look another way but there was none, and eventually he succumbed to fate thinking that it was set in stone. This is why Eren could be considered the least free+
character. He just walked on a path which was laid out before him, what he saw in his future memories. And then we have Mikasa the complete opposite of him. She embodies freedom inside her. She was always shown to be the one defying Eren. Final arc is about Mikasa making+
her own choice. Not what Eren says, not what others say but what she chooses herself. If eren's character is walking down the predestined path then Mikasa as his opposite will defy that path. Her character is supposed to break out of the inevitable fate. Mikasa's character+
trait is her pride. She can't let others dictate what she has to do, at the same time she can't live with herself if she lets Eren keep walking on that path. If she stops Eren, she will not only change her destiny but his as well as the others. Right now Armin is stuck, others+
are weak and hopeless and it was only Mikasa who kept fighting till end in last chapter. It's safe to say that her decision is going to impact the ending. We can't project ourselves or our thoughts on that girl. But we can remember that this girl has the potential to break out +
of the cursed fate. Even in the ending 1 we see the birds flying at the end. They represent achieving freedom. Interpret it however you want. But one thing is sure, Mikasa's action will have a big impact on the story and the fate of their world eventually.

That's all for now.
