As an American citizen here's what i need to see happen today in Washington to deal with the political crisis unfolding. First, I need to hear from Christopher Wray, the head of the FBI. We need to know what the plan is -- the plan to find out how yesterday happened and how
2. everyone who participated will be discovered, investigated, prosecuted and jailed for a very long time. This crime against our nation can not go unpunished. Those seditious Americans need to face real consequences or our democracy and rule of law are a joke.
3. President elect Biden, who was perfect yesterday, needs to make a clear statement that bringing to justice the traitors who overran our Capitol yesterday will be a priority for him. Lawlessness will not stand in the Biden Administration. I want him to address the feelings of
4. black Americans this morning who once again have turned on their TV's to see two justice systems in America. And i want him to send a message to domestic terrorists in our country that they will be held to account for any attacks on government or their fellow Americans.
5. I want Democratic leaders in the House to make clear how they will hold the President accountable while he is still in office. Whether it's impeachment articles being brought to the floor or a censure motion, we all need to put every elected official on the record with a vote
6. declaring who's side they are on -- Trump's and thugs or our democracy. On the Senate side, i want to hear from the new Majority Leader how he will deal with the Senators who helped spark this national tragedy. We can't expect Republicans to do anything because they won't.
7. They are likely more afraid of Donald Trump today than they were last week. They will not stand up to him now or even after he's left office because they, above all else, want to keep their seat in office and Trump's voters hold the key to that. I want to hear from the
8. President's cabinet, and not just what @mikepompeo is putting out on background. Stand up for your President or tell us how you can remove or neutralize him. And i want to hear from the WH Press Secretary. @PressSec speaks for all of the WH staff. Come to the briefing room and
9. tell us how you could all go to work today for the monster in the oval office. Tell us what the plan is to fix this. Tell us the plan to keep the President from sparking a civil or world war. You work for us...not for him. Do your job. Politics is often viewed as a game
10. politicians act like it is. Like a toddler, politicians will put their hands in the fire until it gets burned. If there are no legal and political consequences laid out today or tomorrow this kind of thing will happen again and again until our democracy fails. We need
11. to punish politicians who view democracy as optional and power as necessary or we will slip into an autocratic state that there is no coming back from. Everyone in power has something to do today. Go do your damn jobs.
