I feel obligated to respond to yesterday's bullshit. In general I avoid politics with Vampire Step-Dad, because I want to be a source of positivity for people, an escape from the chaos of daily life. A source of hope. However, I'm aware that avoiding politics is a privilege. 1/?
I believe we are suffering from a complete lack of leadership. The President has shown time and again that he will use anyone for his own gain.

And instead of calling him out, his party is complicit in his actions, hoping they, too, can ride his coattails into success.
I strive daily to see the humanity in every single person. I refuse to hate anyone, even when their actions demand hatred. My hatred of a person only plays into their motives of division.

I believe there is no "THEM" only "US". Ultimately, we're all on the same ship.
I am so angry about the insurrection, but I refuse to give up hope. I believe in the good of humanity and that “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” (MLK Jr)
