Friends and family who have trusted bad leaders will likely help spread these lies. This is going to be painful for you to watch. You’ll feel your heart tempted to cry out in despair at the extremes to which people go to believe what they want to believe./2
But let’s think analytically a moment. Deflection is a normal sin reaction when humans are caught in wickedness.

They have been sucked into an insular bubble in which profiteers have trained them to fear, rage, and hate on command.

As you see these strategic lies emerge today, remember that God sees the truth. He sometimes allows dishonesty to flourish for a time to expose, sift, and reveal. But He will not ultimately be mocked. /5
The lies you see told—even by people you love—will be commandeered for good, and His holiness and glory will prevail.
So resist in faith if you’re so led. But let your deep heart rest in the certainty that God will not sit quiet forever.
