Here’s a reminder of WHY VV MPs released tear gas in Parliament: to protest the “normalization” agreement between KS and Serbia, which foresees the creation of a Serb Association of Municipalities that receives direct funding from Serbia.

The same Serbia that unabashedly refuses to recognize KS statehood and still has not provided any wartime reparations. This deal was widely objected to by the entire opposition at the time! Meanwhile the US embassy held water for Thaci, who is now facing charges at the Hague.

The other big issue at the time was a demarcation deal between Montenegro and Kosovo that gave up significant amounts of land to MN - the EU promised visa liberalization in exchange for this deal. It’s been over five years, there is no visa liberalization in sight.

In other words - elected officials operating in a genuinely corrupt system (as in Transparency International regularly gives KS abysmal ratings) resort to tear gas to make their objections known. Not pretty, arguably wrong.

THIS IS STILL NOT THE SAME AS CONFEDERATE NAZIS STORMING THE CAPITOL TO OVERTURN THE RESULTS OF A NATIONAL ELECTION. This is homegrown USA nonsense, not Kosovo, L. America or whatever “banana republic” stereotypes liberals need to feel better about their domestic terrorists.
