- Hi all, I'd like to introduce myself and talk about my aims for this account to start. I've made this separate account where I plan to talk about finance and investments in order to open myself to new ideas and criticisms as well as the broader fintwit community.
- Starting with the basics, I'm 20 so have a very long investment time horizon. I'm Irish, investing is something not really talked about here so hoping to meet other Irish people into investment and financial wellbeing in this process. I currently have a job, go to college.
- Take night classes, and have other hobbies and interests to keep me busy too. I started investing almost 3 years ago when I turned 18. I'm slowly learning and seeing what investment style fits me best. We'll see later I take a hybrid approach. I used to post videos to YouTube
- But I found it took a lot of time and effort versus posting some simple short tweets or maybe even longer form threads in future. Really a lot of the inspiration for taking up the Twitter threads cane from @ValueStockGeek @10kdiver @SahilBloom so thanks guys keep up the
- amazing work you've inspired me to share my own thoughts, musings and learnings here. I hope someone finds my content even half as useful as you guys.
- My Main aims for this account are to: Share my research on companies I'm invested in and are on my watch list, Share my portfolio's and their positions as well as share my passion for investing.
- So to start with the portfolio's I have 2. 1 is a lump sum retirement portfolio, this is where when I was 18 I added virtually all of my Net Worth into an account and don't plan to withdraw from it until I retire. In the portfolio I pick individual business that I believe
- will lead to my long term 15% per year target rate of return. I have a watch list of currently a handful of stocks and the portfolio has 5 positions and is 40% in cash but I'm always hoping to be fully invested once ample opportunities allow.
- My second portfolio is a passive portfolio that I started last year with just over €1000 & add €800 per month. The portfolio is structured with a golden butterfly asset allocation as I plan to use the money from this account to buy a house in the next 6-10 years.
- I think thats enough from me today, thanks for reading of you made it this far let me know what you'd like to hear me talk about more in future.
