He’s not in the same school with his soccer mate Bright anymore? - He frequently likes and comments on B’s IG posts to let him know he follows his friend’s journey. He congratulates B on his special days. He gives support to B when he apologized for his past behavior.
He’s now famous and not meeting his old friends often? - He’ll make sure to watch his friends’ IG live, reply to their comments on his IG posts, and give them seats so close to his own family for his concerts, basically saying those friends are nearly as important as his family.
He met p’Jennie once in Line Award, and he never stopped making an effort to stay in contact with her. He replied to her IG stories about him, engaging with her posts, and he even invited her as a guest in his concert.
TTTS has ended? - then Mild becomes the MC for so many of his events. He invites them all (both S1 and S2 casts) to his graduation. He came to THEIR graduations. He's always being so supportive of Mew's solo endeavors.
p’Boss and p’Tee no longer work with him? - He made time in his packed schedule to visit their new projects, invited them to his graduation, talking to them often in any chance he gets.
Those were just a few examples. My point is, there is a reason why he is so loved. Why his friends and families just won’t leave him alone. Why his coworkers praise him. Because Gulf makes a genuine effort, and you just can’t fake sincerity.
As an introvert myself, I don’t like reducing it to a few traits. Introversion can manifest in a lot of ways. In Gulf’s case, it seems that he is more comfortable talking one-on-one, preferably when he still manages to have his private space, and thus, social media are perfect.
Remember how Gulf IMMEDIATELY followed all of Boyfriend’s members’ insta, so he could connect with them personally, because he knew he was so shy and didn’t speak much when they all gathered for the first time?
I see how he often comments on their posts (and maybe on DMs too, we’d never know) and then next time we know, they’ve grown closer. Some of them even left a video message for Gulf’s emoji concert.
Remember how he was awkward with Gavin at first? But look at him now. He made jokes and teased Gavin freely. They were laughing together at backstage! We all were like, WHAT, THEY WERE CLOSE? But that was Gulf. Yes he doesn’t approach people first, but he does have his own ways.
My point is, Gulf is doing alright. People are helping and encouraging him simply because he is always doing the same things to them. He doesn’t do it to "advance his career" or whatever. If that’s the case, he would’ve ditched his school friends long time ago.
I'm typing this hurriedly while I wait for feedback at work so sorry if I don't express it well. Anyway, I just want to say we place our hearts in good hands. Let’s continue to support and watch over him. Feel free to add your own thoughts to this thread. Keep it positive :)
