The GOP needs to stop rejecting logic, facts and reasoning. The fact that anything that doesn’t line up with their world view is brushed aside as “fake news” or “the liberal media” is dangerous, and we saw that yesterday.
There’s literally no evidence of voter fraud, and courts PACKED BY TRUMP have time and time again rejected the conspiracy that the election was rigged. The GOP rejected sound facts and logic around this, and a failed, violent coup was the result.
People died as a result of the dogma the party has embraced for so long. People died because the GOP has been on a tirade against facts, logic and reasoning.
This didn’t start with Trump. The GOP discovered that it was a pretty damn good strategy to label criticism as “fake news” or “the liberal media” or “intellectual elites” long before then. Barry Goldwater comes to mind as one of the firsts to do that.
