@kingtutspacs @DoctorSpac gents. I come to u both as I trust both of you, as u've shared very solid DD and research on $NGA/Lion Electric so far. So, despite myself being a Twitter noob, I want to share w you one of my core pieces of DD that caused me to buy 10,000 shares at $13.
'As of April [2020], Amazon is now a full-fledged freight broker.' .. '[Amazon is] using its own trucks to ferry goods not just bought by its customers, but transporting third-party parcels as well'.
Regarding FedEx, and UPS: 'Although Amazon has yet to up-end either, the stage is set for it to become the third big player in the delivery arena. From here it's just a question of building scale, which is only a matter of time.'
Regarding middle-mile delivery: 'maximizing the efficiency of "middle-mile" logistics to get goods from a factory or warehouse to a distribution hub hasn't seemingly been prioritized..Amazon was quietly moving in this direction all along.'
c: 'It's also conceivable that the middle mile rather than the last mile is where most of the efficiency leaps could be made.'.. 'With greater control of how, when, and where its..tractor-trailers pass parcels off to last-mile drivers, the company can squeeze out inefficiencies.'
Why Amazon would make a move like this in terms of profitability: 'it monetizes Amazon's excess delivery capacity' .. 'If Amazon can deliver enough of its packages on its own and reach a cost parity with other logistics names, it can at least avoid paying [FedEx and UPS]markup.'
.. 'Amazon spent $37.9 billion last year, or 13.5% of its revenue, just on shipping costs to and from its warehouses. If it can whittle that figure down even just a little .. the impact for this low-margin company could be significant.'
This is why I think the announcement of the initial Amazon deal is just the beginning of their partnership. It makes sense for them able to control their ENTIRE logistics ops from start to finish.
With the Climate Initiative, why WOULDN'T Amazon invest heavily into an EV solution to fill in the middle mile ops? Why wouldn't they choose to even further expand their partnership with Lion? Especially now that they are going to list publicly, and the equity deal ever juicier?
Sorry so long. VERY new to Twitter and not sure what I'm doing. Hope you both see this. Open to hear your thoughts gents.
