can we normalize requesting specific cws (especially ones that may be less obvious) instead of expecting them by default + treating it as a moral failure? as someone with autism & adhd the pressure to correctly predict the needs of 3000 complete strangers in advance isn't easy
the way it gets treated as a moral failing gets extremely worrisome & potentially really ableist, and i can't tell you how many times i have seen white disabled folks come @ Black disabled folks for not adding the particular cw they wanted, it often feels like an excuse
this past year i have seen people do numerous full on call outs, subtweet, and pretty much do everything besides just ASK for content to be cw'd in the future
i see statements like "it's not hard if you don't do it you're just an asshole"
i see statements like "it's not hard if you don't do it you're just an asshole"
the lack of empathy coming from within the disability community for people who may be tweeting impulsively / faster than they can think, who may be forgetful, who may struggle with something y'all find easy? it's kind of astounding honestly
i can't curate yalls social media and mental health for you, you need to give me some info to work with please
i get that asking for accommodations is intimidating but how can that excuse be made when the same people feel no shame over qrting and harassing over a lack of cw?
